The Phantom of the STD Has Never Left the US Population
One of the most amazing things about the way the general public tends to perceive media is the fact that a public service announcement can run on TV for years, but it seems to have its greatest effect when it is new and something of a cultural phenomenon. In the 1960’s, people first truly became aware in the United States that there were serious consequences to unprotected sexual relations and for decades, the health organizations of both the federal government and private charities have been sending the same message.
